Marilyn Honigman
As a working artist it is important for me that the images formed in my work convey to my audience my love of painting and that they are imbued with a poetic ability to touch the viewer.
What I hope to accomplish, as an artist is to form my subject into an expressive image, invoking both personal and universal emotions. I have a “dialogue” with my paintings as I work on them. I hope that my paintings shed light on the present time and place but that they also stand on their own as a part of the continuum that is the history or art.
